There are many people today that expect someone to hand them every thing without them having to put forth any effort, I am not one of them. I am a working divorced mom who wants to make a better life for my children, that’s why I am interested in a career in Medical Transcriptionist (MT). I believe working medical transcription jobs would benefit my family in a manner that I can maintain my current job as a county school bus driver, where I have good medical plan, retirement, and flexibility of work days and hours as well as working as a MT in order to make a better life for us. One of my main requirements as a parent is to be available to my children. Of course I still have to be able to support them as well, so therefore MT as well as driving a school bus would help me achieve both of those priorities. I want to set a good work values for my children without having to miss out on their first steps, first dance, first dates, and being able to be there for them when they are sick or just need to talk. My children and I live in a very small county where opportunity is scarce.
That’s why enrolling in an online course with Future MT is a wise choice for my family, being that I would still be able to support my us at the same time. The cost of the course at Future MT is of great importance as well. A lot of people, like me, would not be able to afford an expensive cost that some of the other schools and/or course would cost. I would like to achieve a since of self sufficiency. I have always worked, but my husband-ex husband now- was the bread winner. I just made enough money to have spending money in my pocket for the children and myself. I don’t know where or how far I expect to go with my schooling, I just know that I want to be able to give my children a comfortable life without giving up the luxury of spending time with them and letting them KNOW that I am there for them. In summary I would say that being a work at home medical transcriptionist would benefit my family. That is the primary reason for wanting to become a MT. I don’t think that a person has to give up one priority in order to achieve another, and working towards my degree online is the perfect answer. The many advantages that this course intel for my family range from financial all the way to personal beliefs of family. The financial advantage is not only future wage earnings but the initial cost of the course is fair enough that the average person can afford it. These are the reasons that have influenced me to challenge myself to better my life as well as my children’s life. And finally any time someone can expand his or her education and/or career I think it is always a good idea. Inflation is raising the cost of “everything” so a better education is an extremely good benefit to families every where.
