Do you remember how excited you were at the very moment you had your first incredibly amazing
idea for an Internet business?
I’d lay a bet that your enthusiasm was running high and you were so motivated that you spent every
minute possible glued to your computer as you tried to quickly learn how to get a website together – and
was probably signing up to every Affiliate Program going – in a bid to get some “quick” money.
I’d lay a further bet that you were reading everything you could lay your hands on – and truly thought
you were on to a winner – YOU were well on your way to realizing your dream of having your very own
successful online business.
How have things panned out for you?
Have you realized your dream?
Did you give up your day job?
Are you making a six figure income?
If the answer is “YES” – Congratulations – you don’t need to read any further!
If the answer is “NO” – let me tell you that you are not alone!
The next question is
Are you still as enthusiastic? – and if not, why not? (sorry, that’s actually two questions!)
I’ll stick my neck out and say that almost everything you’ve read that’s connected to the
subject of building an Internet business has given you a false impression! Phrases such as
… easy way to make money … give up your day job in 6 months … earn $3627 in just 10
days … be bringing in a six figure income in less than a year … is purely marketing techniques –
its clever marketing I grant you – but that’s all it is!
This type of marketing lures the unsuspecting reader into believing that, by joining their
program or buying their products or services, they really will be earning money in a short
space of time – they may not expect the full “… $3627 in just 10 days …” but they do expect
to earn something! – and when they don’t, disappointment creeps in, especially when the magical
“10 days” are up and they haven’t even seen a single dime!
If you recognize this scenario, don’t get disheartened – do you think the first man who ever
started a business had all the answers to make it an instant success? Of course he didn’t –
he had to learn as he went along and would have undoubtedly made mistakes – probably even
had to start over a time or two – just like you might have to do, but these are the risks you
have to be willing to take and acknowledge.
Now there’s one big difference between the first man to start a business and YOU – he didn’t
have anyone to give him advice – whereas you do. There are many millions of Internet businesses
out there – some are good, a few are excellent – others are poor and the remainder range from
bad to downright terrible!
If you’ve read this article up to this point, I guess you’ve got the right mind set to start learning
and working towards gaining the knowledge that is required to get your business in the upper
echalons of success.
